Improve the Batch Before Chasing a Bigger Payout
Check your production before spending more cash:
- Match the upgrade to your bottleneck. Buy Ball Value when you want each cell to be worth more, Capacity when you regularly hit the population limit, or Split Speed when cooldowns are slowing your batch growth. Check the current effect, next effect and price on the right before buying. The upgrade guide compares the available levels and caps.
- Inspect valuable cells. Hover over a mutated cell to read its VALUE mutations, TRAITS and overall PAYS multiplier. You can also inspect YOUR BEST BALL in the MUTATIONS menu. Use the displayed PAYS value to judge a combination rather than multiplying its individual VALUE entries together. The mutation index explains the categories.
- Check for Rotten warnings before continuing production. Deal with affected cells before the next split using the treatment steps below.
Capacity gives you room for a bigger batch; it does not make each cell more valuable. Split Speed helps you build that batch sooner. Choose the improvement that addresses what is limiting your current production.
Use the Sale Bonuses Available to You
| Bonus | Cash effect | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Level 5 cash reward | +5% cash on every sale | After claiming the cash bonus in Level Rewards; separate from Lab Goggles |
| Growth Factor | +100% MONEY | With the card's effect active |
| Shiny Mutagen | An additional +15% money on every sale | From the Shiny property on this card, not the ordinary Mutagen effect |
| Gold Rush | ×2 SELL | While its event timer is active |
| Rainbow event | ×1.5 SELL | While its event timer is active |
| VIP Bundle | +25% cash on every sale | When owned |
| 2X Money | Double cash from every sale | When owned |
Claim the level bonus: reach level 5, open the XP entry at the bottom, then use CLAIM or CLAIM ALL for available rewards. Check that the cash reward shows as claimed. See Level Rewards for the other unlocks.
For direct cash income, Growth Factor's +100% is the stronger choice compared with Shiny Mutagen's +15%. Mutagen also serves a mutation-discovery goal; compare those effects in the card guide.
Check your token bonus in the TOKENS panel. The panel lists +2% MORE MONEY per token. Use the displayed money bonus when judging your current sale setup. The token guide covers earning and spending decisions.
VIP and 2X Money stack when both are owned. For a purchase comparison, see game passes and bundles.
Choose When to Sell
Match your sale timing to the goal you are working toward:
- Normal production: watch capacity. Sell when the batch is near your current limit so you can start growing the next one. Once you reach capacity, waiting longer does not give you room for more cells. This is a useful production rhythm, not a requirement to fill every slot before selling.
- Gold Rush or Rainbow: watch the countdown. Keep splitting while there is time to grow the batch, then complete the sale while the event bonus is still active. If another split risks missing the end of the timer, prioritize selling the cells you already have. Gold Rush's event panel shows ×2 SELL alongside its remaining time; track the relevant timer when multiple events overlap. See weather events for the other effects and triggers.
- Challenges: watch TRIES and the remaining target. Each SELL consumes one attempt. Build a substantial batch before spending a try, then read the actual goal progress after selling. Small, frequent sales can exhaust your attempts before you reach the target. Use the challenge guide and remaining-sales budget tool to plan around the cash still needed.
When a sale bonus overlaps a challenge, balance both limits: build enough cells to make the attempt worthwhile, but leave time to sell before the bonus ends.
Account for Cells That Do Not Pay
Cure Rotten before splitting
The Rotten tooltip shows a $0 payout. Treat its warning as a production problem to handle immediately:
- Hover over the affected cell to inspect the Rotten tooltip.
- Click the cell before using SPLIT.
- Look for CURED! feedback before continuing.
Do not postpone treatment until the batch is ready to sell. An attempt after a cell has already rotted is a different situation; do not assume a late click will successfully cure it.
Read actual progress against the half-paying Boss
Under Only half of your balls pay, only half the cells contribute payment. Build your batch, sell, then check how much the goal bar actually advanced before committing another attempt.
An active Rainbow bonus can still help in this round, but the Boss restriction remains in force. Since cells can have different values, half the cells paying does not necessarily mean exactly half of an unrestricted batch's cash. Base your next sale on the remaining target and TRIES.
