Choose What to Do During Each Event
Use the event directory to check bonuses and identify the weather currently running.
- For rare mutations, keep splitting during Eclipse. Its separate rare-mutation bonus makes this the window to prioritize for rare discoveries.
- For Molten, keep splitting during Lava Rain. Its message says most balls turn Molten. The larger general mutation multiplier does not make it a better rare-mutation event than Eclipse.
- For cash, build a batch and sell during Gold Rush or Rainbow. Complete the sale while the relevant countdown is active. Gold Rush provides the larger individual sale bonus.
- During Meteor Shower, check the token readout and remaining time. You can continue splitting and selling while it runs.
- Recognize Candy Rain by falling candy and its event timer. Use the event name to distinguish it from a sale or mutation boost.
Blood Moon is also a named environmental event in Mitosis.
Rainbow can benefit sales during a Boss goal, but the Boss restriction still applies. If only half your balls pay, the weather bonus does not remove that restriction.
For other ways to improve discoveries, see mutation luck options. For sale timing across ordinary production and challenges, see the money guide.
Watch the Weather Jar Fill
The Weather Jar is the shared weather trigger. Watch its progress in the upper-right area of the lab.
- Look for FULL! when the jar fills.
- Watch the jar tilt and pour out.
- Read the weather announcement and its remaining-time display. Meteor Shower is one event that can follow a full jar and applies to everyone present.
Be in the server when the jar fills to earn the Gold Team Effort achievement. The condition is being present at that moment; see the achievement index for other collection goals.
Track Overlapping Timers
A new weather announcement does not mean the previous event has ended. Eclipse can begin while Meteor Shower is active, and Lava Rain can also coexist with Meteor Shower.
Check the upper-right weather display and the individual event cards for their countdowns. Eclipse can start with 2:00 showing while Meteor Shower has only seconds left. Lava Rain can start with roughly two minutes showing, yet its ending message can arrive while Meteor Shower continues.
Respond to the event that actually expires:
- Lava Rain ends: its mutation window closes; Meteor Shower may still be running.
- Eclipse ends: its boosted mutation odds return to normal.
- Rainbow ends: its temporary sale bonus ends and normal sale earnings return.
Plan your next split or sale around the bonus you want to use, rather than treating every timer as one shared deadline.
Find Gold Rush Rewards
Level 7 lists a Gold Rush reward with double sale earnings for two minutes. Click the XP area at the bottom of the screen to open Level Rewards, then find the level 7 entry. Once eligible, use CLAIM or CLAIM ALL for available rewards and check their claimed status. The level rewards guide covers the other unlocks and reward states.
The Starter Pack also lists a Gold Rush as part of its one-time new-player offer. Its listing was marked not for sale. See game passes and bundles for the pack’s other contents.
Read Meteor Shower and Candy Rain Displays
Meteor Shower
Look for falling meteors, the Meteor Shower label, and a countdown. Its event card includes a TOKENS readout. Read that amount as part of the current event display. The event applies to everyone present, and you can keep splitting and selling while it runs.
Candy Rain
Candy Rain fills the scene with falling candy and can tint the lab pink. A candy-filled jar can announce THE JAR IS FULL! and GET READY before the event begins. Check the upper-right Candy Rain label and remaining time to confirm it is active; FOR EVERYONE HERE identifies its shared scope.
If an event instead offers a gun or a net to grab, follow the minigame prompts for the corresponding activity.
